Back in 2000, Alpen Sierra sourced a remarkable AA from Nyathini, which earned the highest rating of its time from Kenneth Davids at The Coffee Review. Today, we are thrilled to offer this Gichataini microlot from the renowned Nyeri region, produced by the award-winning Gekanda Farmers Cooperative Society. Harvested at peak ripeness, the cherries are meticulously processed at the Gichataini washing station, where the coffee’s vibrant character takes shape. Sun-dried on raised beds, it develops a rich, sweet vanilla finish complemented by a sharp, citrusy acidity. Perfect for espresso, this versatile coffee also shines in a traditional drip brewer or single-cup pour-over.
