It is only fitting that the very first and signature house blend developed by founder and Master Roaster, Christian Waskiewicz, for Alpen Sierra Coffee, reflect the roots of the company in title, as well as the deep character of the blend, which is like the rich and lingering light of a fine day on the mountain; something wonderful to behold. The vision for Alpen Sierra was conceived in 1988 while Christian was on a rainy day trek on the Dachstein in the Steiermark region of the Austrian Alps.
