Our Story
During the Alpen Sierra inspiring travels of 1988, our Master Roaster, Christian, was wrapping up an epic Swiss and French Alps ski season in Val D’Isere, France. Was it the croissant, so crisp and tasty, nicely enriched with an intense cup of French coffee, or the magnificence of the Espace Killy outside and the fresh powder awaiting him, that sealed the deal on a “must have” inclusion of this fine traditional roast in Alpen Sierra’s offerings? The answer lies in the cup.

It is heavy bodied with mellow acidity, offering flavors of cedar, fresh earth, leather, and herbal nuance. The dark roast lends some sweet, syrupy caramelization to the finish.
