Our Story
Alpen Sierra’s Coffee Master, Christian Waskiewicz, first rode the epic Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in 1986 on a “steel is real” rigid frame, custom-painted candy-apple red Specialized Stumpjumper. Back in the day, Toad’s was truly a wild ride. Always intense and yet fulfilling in its own rite, as the upper section, goose-duck-goose, began with butterflies and finished with an adrenaline rush. The spirit and experience of such a pioneering route inspired the creation of a coffee blend that is full-dark, intense and richly satisfying; the same feeling one gets when finishing the adventure that Toad’s always provides
