Kenyan coffees hold a special place in our hearts, renowned for their bold character and distinctiveness found only in Kenya. Back in 2000, Alpen Sierra sourced a remarkable AA from Nyathini, which earned the highest rating of its time from Kenneth Davids at The Coffee Review. Perched at 1,600–1,800 meters above sea level in Kiambu County, Kiganjo Factory is one of three washing stations operated by Thiririka Farmers Cooperative Society — the largest cooperative in the county. Thiririka represents a significant and quality-focused force in central Kenya’s coffee landscape. Specifically, it is comprised of 1,800 active farmer members with an annual production of approximately 1,400 bags (60 kg).
